Custom Cabinet Specifications

Wood Construction

All of our wood species are a product of nature in which variations in color, grain, and density are natural. Differences in soil and climate conditions cause variations in mineral absorptions, sap runs, and knots, all of which are natural and acceptable characteristics of a wood product and enhance the beauty of the cabinetry.

Finish Properties

Cabinets have a “Super-Var” finish, which is a two part catalyzed conversion coating made from some of the most advanced synthetic resin systems available. Super-Var’s unique properties help keep your cabinets looking fresh while resisting stains and surface damage caused by common household chemicals.

Frames

1-3/4” wide x 3/4” thick solid Cherry, Maple, Oak, Hickory, Alder, Ash, Red Birch, and Pine hardwood frames. The frames are constructed with a mortise and tenon joint and are glued and stapled. The backs are grooved to receive the cabinet sides leaving a 3/16” trimmable reveal.
